Amazing

Something amazing happened to me last night I was driving a new friend home when he asked me about whether or not I was in a relationship. I said "no", and we kept driving for a few more minutes a little later he said, "you know there is not one hot chick in our subject but it doesn't matter to me I am chasing a girl back home that is why I'm not sleeping around here".

I said that is a good idea I don't believe in sex before marriage because it brings so much heart ache and pain. He said, "I agree" then he asked, "so what church do you go to?" I swallowed my tongue and said, "I go to a Christian church down at Mansfield, it is called Mansfield Christian Reformed Church." "Really?" he said, "do you go there with you parents?" "No", I said, "my parents are not Christian, I became a Christian three years ago." "Really", he said, "why did you become a christian?" (Now i was thinking wow I had been praying for this guy but I never thought that he would start asking questions like this so soon!).

I said I used to believe that there was no God however I would despair because I could not see the point of life. I looked at my options and thought 'look at the wonder and splendor of all the things in life'. The trees, the people around me, it all could not exist with out a plan or a purpose. Around about that time a friend of mine invited me to a cell group were people would sit and talk about God. I was very skeptical for a long time. I would prepare notes and difficult questions for the leader of the group. They must have had a lot of patience! Eventually I thought to my self, I should read the Bible just so I know what they are all talking about. I read the Bible and in time started to come to know Jesus and now I could not imagine my life with out him, not even a day! I told him that I could not imagine my life without God. "Wow", he said "that is amazing!" (to be continued if God wills.)
